Goiania promove encontro de folia de reis e catira no domingo

A Prefeitura de Goiânia apoia evento que acontece dia 26/01, na Igreja Matriz de Campinas.

O evento tem o respaldo da Secretaria Municipal de Cultura (Secult), que  em parceria com a Comissão Goiana de Folclore, promove no próximo domingo (26/1) o 19º Encontro de Folia de Reis e a 5ª edição do Encontro de Catira em Goiânia. Realizada tradicionalmente na praça do Santuário Basílica Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro, a Igreja Matriz de Campinas, a programação tem início com a Alvorada Festiva, às 6h, e missa às 7h, e segue com a apresentação de mais de 40 grupos de foliões e oito de catira. O evento conta ainda com a presença de autoridades da gestão municipal e estadual.

Neste ano, o tema “Comer bem, viver bem: siga essa Estrela” é um convite à reflexão sobre os hábitos alimentares. “As tradicionais Folias de Reis têm como características as comidas típicas rurais, geralmente aqueles alimentos in natura que eram consumidos em tempos remotos pelas famílias do campo, mas que nos dias atuais já não fazem tão parte da vida de muita gente. Afinal, tudo se industrializou, modernizou e a maioria é atraída pela praticidade ou propaganda. E como fica a saúde? Diante disso, os foliões estão convidados para este encontro e também para celebrar e divulgar as tradicionais lembranças e costumes dos cardápios de folia”, pontua a diretora de políticas e eventos culturais da Secult, Marci Dornelas.

Ainda segundo a diretora, o encontro é um dia especialmente dedicado aos foliões, às folias e aos catireiros. “Dia de ressaltar essa cultura e tradição tão antiga, que tantas pessoas gostam, se emocionam”, completa Marci. Para o folião Divino Mariano da Silva, coordenador do Grupo de Folia Dy Mariano e os Monarcas do Oriente, participar pela terceira vez do encontro é uma grande satisfação. “É muito bonito e uma oportunidade de valorização e reconhecimento das nossas folias como uma manifestação cultura, histórica. Além de ser também uma possibilidade de encontrarmos amigos e conhecermos grupo de várias cidades”, afirma.
